American Cream Band is a loosely-formed collective convened by Twin-Cities musician, Nate Nelson. Over the past year, the band began composing meditation drones for each day of the week, working exclusively on each drone during its corresponding day. This drone is a realization of Friday, a day etymologically associated with Venus, the Roman goddess of love and beauty. It is tuned roughly to 442.46 Hz, 32 octaves above the inaudibly slow oscillation of the planet Venus, which circulates the sun once every 224.7 earth days.

I was brought here after listening to a live performance of Makaya's on you tube. I instantly loved the song Holy Lands so much that I had to see if the album version was the same rendition as the live one. Then I listened to the whole album! Universal Beings is a just a groove... It's a mix of traditional and something new, very nice. pandr1900
